F.E.A.R. Extraction Point Demo Tomorrow

Sierra let us know that they'll be releasing a F.E.A.R. Extraction Point demo tomorrow at noon CST. The demo will show some of the new locations as well as the new guns. The TimeGate Studios developed expansion pack is due out October 24.

I just hope it isn't all outdoorsy, trying to be more like Battlefield 2 or Operation Flashpoint. There's a CTF map, Deadwood, that proves it just doesn't work as that kind of game.

I *still* don't get the whole story. Yes, I finished the game.

I wouldn't say I was amazed by FEAR but I enjoyed the game enough. They added additional maps after release for free, released a few bug fix patches. Then they released the multiplayer for free. Now a demo of the exp before release. This is the kind of practice I do want to encourage so I'm going to buy it.

3 new maps were released with Combat, along with 3 others released since launch.
Also, take a look at some of the mod content out there, there are some cool maps to be found.

I'm glad they're releasing a demo for it. I was probably going to overlook the expansion pack since it's generally looked like more of the same. But there's a lot more to account for, so hopefully the demo will turn me one way or the other.

Sweet! And they announced the release date will be October 24. I'm excited, I had a great time with F.E.A.R. which hasn't been met in any other FPS so far.
