The website of Larian Studios (Beyond Divinity, Divine Divinity) has been updated with a news item noting that although they've been silent, development is well underway on a next-gen RPG. Screenshots of the game appear in the October issue of PC Gamer. Thanks Blues.

  • Divine Divinity was really good. No RPG ever has had so much quest density. Or a better quest log, and world interactivity rivalled Ultima 7. Combat wasn't very deep, but overall, it was still fun. The game's main fault was putting it's worst foot forward with a very bleh starter dungeon that made it seem like a simple Diablo clone, instead of a Diablo clone PLUS.

Beyond Divinity kind of sucked, and was Starforced besides. Hopefully the unannounced Divinity 2 will be more DD, less BD.

Larian dudes, for chrissake, hire decent voice actors this time.
