Are there going to be game modes other than the UT2k4 Assault-esque mode shown here? Not many people played Assault in UT2k4 in lieu of Onslaught... and there's a reason.

I'm hoping I have ISDN by the time this comes out...I'm getting my loop qualified and then I'll have to wait a while to get it installed...and I'll be paying $270+ a month...but I'm desperate to play shit online and this game has me that much more desperate! (yeah I don't have any broadband out here, and the phone company will only sell me residential ISDN (business is cheaper) and they rape you in the ass on it...but I want a decent ping...and after a loooong while on 26.4k dial up (maximum dial up speed behind a SLC-96)...I'm willing to "feed" kittens to goatman to play this online).

A lot of these games (ETQW, BF2142, UT2007, ArmA) are starting to become hybrids of RTS and FPS. Like Battlezone (Activision remake). I like it.

Maybe there's something wrong with the various Internet connections I've used over the years, but a large majority of servers I played on were so laggy the vehicle combat became humorous. Hopefully they've got that worked out by now, so that they don't just stutter across the landscape like an old WWI reel if the server is halfway decent.

After watching those movies, I can only say this: In-fucking-credible. Sure, on pub servers you're probably going to have a clusterfuck most of the time, and it will be a pain to get some of the objectives done, but I still think that's it's to be play.. and on private or Clan servers, this game is just going to be amazing.

And the deployable artillery just makes me so happy.
