Does anybody know a story summary of C&C 1 to C&C 3?

GDI won C&C 1 and C&C 2, right? They also won C&C 2 Firestorm and in the beginning of C&C 3 NOD shoots down the Philadelphia?

Hm, the NOD units don't look very impressive. Maybe they look cooler if the camera isn't close up.
