For an UE3 powered game, it looks a little UE2-ish. Doesn't look like they're using the full power of that engine. Look at what Epic is doing and the Too Human guys. Looks like a Mod to me.

Of course nobody knows gameplay, but it doesn't look super compelling.

Anyone else notice that the AR and AK weapon models are rendered backwards? The charging handle on the AK is on the right side (not left). The AR mag release is also on the right (not left).

although at first I was like "bleh", digging around on their site has gotten me a bit interested.. PARABELLUMÃ‚Â® is a Strategy First Person Shooter (SFPS) focused on urban warfare in the biggest Multiplayer Environment ever created. sounds like they are using the streaming/seamless level stuff of U3. I like that it's multiplayer focused, I need a rainbow 6 killer for competative team play..

Wow, totally cool. I know many people who work(ed) for Acony. Their offices were in the same house as our church. Some of them even attended our small church :-).

Of course thats nothing special for many people here, but it's the first time I know some developers in person.

I've worked with UE3 for awhile now. And the learning curve on art is pretty hefty. In fact mediocre artists will fail all together due to the skill required to make high rez models for normal maps. It looks to me like the folks working on this have a ways to go skill and knowledge wise to be able to make it look up to snuff for the engine.

the position of the guns is wrong, sure, they are nice, and you can never really show the coolness of weapons in 1stperson view (only during reload) but to angle them like they did here, to show them on the side during shooting is just wrong and doesn't make sense at all.
