New Torque Game Builder Available

The Garage Games guys let us know that a new version of their Torque Game Builder is now available. What can you do with this? "Make your game with the world's most powerful 2D game engine, making use of sprites, scrolling backgrounds, 3D objects, TorqueNET Lite networking, physics, and collision detection".

I'm a student at the Guildhall working on 2D game with a free program right now, and I must say I wish we used the Torque engine here. It definitely looks promising, but I'd like to know a little bit more about what your return is for shelling out $100.

Maybe some shackers will be willing to play my game in about a month when it's gold!

It says you code once and it works on pc, macs and xbox360 (with a different license)

It gives you no info on the 360 part though, is it as a standalone game, or as an xbox arcade game (which im assuming). What license is it? How much is this license.

I'm actually looking at getting into some game programming, though the cost of this kit is a bit too much. I'm looking at stuff that appears to be easily done in Python (though pygame, etc.).

this thing is TITE. aka good. I got in on it when it was still alpha and 99 bucks, good stuff, it's come a long way and is a good idea for anyone who is wanting to make games.
