For me, mythology from the greeks or romans doesnt interest me in a game, and I get the feeling many other players share this sentiment. Especially MMO players. Most want tales and lore they arent familiar with, which is one of the reasons WoW has done so well, as the history of the game world is very rich from levels 1 - 59.

AoC plans to have combos, finishing moves, complex combat with 6 different zones you can attack/defend, seige engines, collision detection (no more running thru ppl in pvp for the backstab), and plenty of pvp. Only worry is that FunCom is putting it out and it took them a long time to get AO working properly.

Watch the cyclops_chimera video. Dude drives a tree through the girls torso, strugles to extract it from her, then she gets back up and kicks his ass with a small hit of her staff.
Cool looking videos though. The character animation is top notch.
