Blizzard has issued new updates for StarCraft and StarCraft: Brood War, updating both to version 1.14. The update fixes several bugs and exploits, and also offers several new features as outlined here.

It's great that Blizzard supports their old games this much, but I wonder if it'd be better all around for Blizzard to just open-source it the way id have done with all their old engines.

I must say I still play StarCraft, and I love that game. It's a ton of fun, plays great, looks great, etc. Just goes to show that gameplay beats pretty pictures I think.
