First Post!
by Maarten Goldstein, Jul 27, 2006 4:50am PDTWell I did go out yesterday to see if there where any PC games to buy but I came up with nothing that appealed to me. Maybe I should try this World of Warcraft game..or not. Finally a somewhat cooler day in this very hot month. The sun is nice and all, but near constant 85+ degree temperatures with high humidity is not too much fun. Maybe the video output on my 360 will finally stop freaking out now. Movie: They expect us to go into a building full of drunken cartel gunmen unarmed? I mean, that isn't fun.

Wall Street (1987) - Greed, for want of a better word, is good.
Boiler Room (2000) - Anybody who tells you money is the root of all evil doesn't fucking have any.
Glengarry Glen Ross (1992) - Coffee is for closers only.
It was interesting to see how one movie influenced the other. The quick-talking Michael Douglas definitely bled into the rapid-fire Pacino, Arkin, Harris and Lemmon conversations, and you could see how Alec Baldwin's excellent cameo set up Ben Affleck's equally effective cameo. In fact, both Baldwin and Affleck stole their respective movies and really had the best lines. It was also nice to see where Gil in the Simpsons came from.
Are there any other movies that play with this topic?
And I'll round it off with two other excellent bits by the ruthless fast-talkers Affleck and Baldwin:
And there is no such thing as a no sale call. A sale is made on every call you make. Either you sell the client some stock or he sells you a reason he can't. Either way a sale is made, the only question is who is gonna close? You or him? and,
That watch costs more than you car. I made $970,000 last year. How much you make? You see pal, that's who I am, and you're nothing. Nice guy? I don't give a shit. Good father? Fuck you! Go home and play with your kids. You wanna work here - close! You think this is abuse? You think this is abuse, you cocksucker? You can't take this, how can you take the abuse you get on a sit? You don't like it, leave.

Ok this is a rookie web design question but I need some help and I thought I'd turn to you experts.
We are trying to design a site that will remain the same size no matter how large the client's browser window is. It has a fixed top frame (nav bar) and a nested left frame (a splash image). Ideally, it would be centered with a flat colour background for when a client's browser window was larger than the content.
Is there any quick and easy way of doing this? I'm using dreamweaver and have exhausted all the help files, training manuals, and websites I can think of.

Company Matching – Discretionary (2005 12%)
401k policy of my job I just got offered. My currently company does not match at all. Does this mean that they match up to 12% but only if they want to?

* Nintendo was not listed among the competitors shown. Only Sony and Apple were.
* They're investing "hundreds of millions, versus billions with the xbox"
* They'll launch one product this fall - and follow up with additional ones next calendar year.
* Community will be a "key" part of it. They implied that Live Anywhere will tie into the device.
* Also hinted it would tie in with Media Center PCs, Xbox 360 and other MSFT devices.
* Video will go beyond Hollywood. Web video and personal video were mentioned, indicating that the device will, indeed, have wireless Internet connectivity.

So after my last request there seemed to be several people advocating the Mazda3. I also found some people who don't really like it too, so I dunno.
I have also been looking at the Civic Si and I had some question. Do you guys prefer doing used or new cars? I'm looking to spend less than $20k (closer to $15k would be great) and I can put down $5k if I really have to. It'd be nice to have a hatchback (because I haul crap from time to time) but the '06 coupe seems pretty darn hot (and cubic feet of trunk space is maybe 1 less?). Think that might be worth waiting until the '07s come out for? Or would it be better to buy it new for the rate and warranty? Except it appears they're in high demand so the dealers can name their prices?
Ok so yea. TIA.

Secondly with the MS protection plan does this cover the thing for 2 years full, or just in the event they replace it, just cover it once. I know that hte Best Buy 2 year replacement plan just covers it to be replaced and once its replaced, the terms of the plan are complete so you would have to buy it again if you wanted coverage for your new xbox.
