What's the best way to make money in this game, I mainly do combat missions and it's making me money but after a while it either runs out of work or they start taking longer to do for less.

It baffles me that many of the space games that have come out since Eve launched (albeit that its not a huge number) that none of them look half as good as EVE still does.

I would love to see Independance War II and/or Freespace 2 re-made with a renderer this sweet.....

I've had my account on and off from the fall of 2004 and everything I've done has been solo. Personally I focus on combat, so I usually just run missions and such - but in general I do think its reasonable to get around and do whatever solo regardless of your skill set. The only thing corporations do is add resources (for crafter types) or access to larger groups (for 'safer' pvp). The game is about as solo friendly as most anything I've experienced.

Of course this still doesn't change the fact that the general progress in the game is glacial in terms of developing more advanced skills. I thought it'd be nice to learn how to do covert ships and its going to take me no less than a month to get the skills trained for it. Meh.
