That book is entertaining. Not for everyone but very cool.
You should check it out if you like reading fiction written like non-fiction. And the "Recorded Attacks" section is awesome.

I have Sennheiser HD555's. What would be best to hook them up to - the back of my Audigy 2 or into the headphone jack of my Logitech Z-680s? And don't say "OMG GET A HEADPHONE AMP" Because I would love to but can't find a good one around here that doesn't cost a hundred hojillion dorrah.

I need something and I don't know what :(
I've finished (and enjoyed) Fable as well as Jade Empire.
I enjoyed God of War, I found the story (for an action game) quite good, but would like a little more focus on story.
I nearly finished Psychonauts, was right near the end and stopped, will pick it up again, promise but not right now.
I have Broken Sword 3 on my Xbox, it seems like a FAIRLY good adventure game, not excellent but also not in the mood for that either.
Suggestions? - preferably something over 65% @ Metacritic.com

WOW. I'd known I was in for a treat, from the enthusiastic urgings of coworkers and friends, but I hadn't expected this. This was like screwing twin goddesses. I turned on the TV, sat down with some popcorn, and BLAM was hit in the face by a couple of fucking masterpieces.
They really did a remarkable job of giving Dune a grand, epic feel, especially in the astounding scenery and battle spectacles; during some moments I thought to myself that this was surely the Ben Hur of sci-fi movies. It was also abundantly clear to me, though not in a way that made me dislike the film at all, that I would get even more out of it if I familiarized myself with the original novel. Which I fully intend to do. The universe of Dune is so damn compelling, I can't not read it.
Blade Runner was just as surprising an experience, but in a different way. I hadn't known that it was based on a Philip K. Dick story, so I had no idea what I was in for. Imagine my shock when a movie with Harrison Ford, who's been doing mostly bland action dealies in recent years, turned out to have a deeply intelligent plot that unabashedly raised several questions about life, morality, religion, and other such mind-bending subjects. And as if that weren't enough, there were the fucking awesome sets and backgrounds that looked like a modernized version of Fritz Lang's Metropolis. If not for the "Atari" neon sign in one scene, I might have forgotten that this was made in '82.
Maybe it's scandalous that I hadn't seen these two movies until just now, but better late than never.

Seems it's kinda like Freespace but with a bit more freedom to it. From product page:

Recently my wow membership has became expired so I can't post on the bliz forms. So many ignorate posters on blizs website, forces me to post so much blissful tips to shack instead. So here we go. Things you might have not known about mages!
1. 21 points in frost is required. (frozen block is required) so is cold snap
2. why is frozen block so good?
3. before I get into this.. besure to understand that mages are the only
class that have counterspell, THIS is not silence, there are a few classes with silence, however counterspell is the only thing that can actually keep a mage from casting spells.
4. you can cast frozen block and cancel it in less than 1/2 a second
allowing you to freely cast spells again.
5. frozen block dispell all DoTs.
6. frozen block breaks polymorph.
7. frozen block breaks warlocks death coil fear which pvp trinkets can not break. (frozen block is the end of warlocks, sadly few mages know this)
8. frozen block breaks suduction.
9. frozen block can be casted when you are silenced instantly
dispelling the silence effect, tested against warlocks, preist and mages
that counterspelled me during a fireball cast.
10.mage pvp trinket dispells silence. wouldn't that be nice to post on it's
abilities?
11. get ready for it...
12. frozen block dispells hunters ice trap. Which freezes you. ^_^
13. so besides dispelling all fears in the game what else does it do?
14.it dispells rogues blind ability people. 21 points in frost IS not optional.
That was just the frozen block tutorial, man, I I feel better though!

Hey guys, I have a A7N8X mobo which supports 6 USB 2.0 ports. However when I plug in my iriver mp3 player, it tells me that I should use a 2.0 port for faster transfer (meaning that my ports are not 2.0). I checked the BIOS and it is set to "USB 1.1 + 2.0", however in windows they are still coming up as regular USB. Am I missing something here?

so i had to replace the thermal grease/paste. i the process i also decided to vacuum clean my case to get rid of dust/particles. so yeah here is a valuable lesson for you guys. dont use a vacuum cleaner on a motherboard that still uses anachronistic technology like jumpers unless you fell like digging in dirt for said small objects.

there is no way to change the second skill mastery in titan quest, right?
I chose the spirit mastery as primary and was using sword+shield so I picked the warrior as the second... but now I have recognized that I am far more powerful with a staff and so my warrior specialisation is kinda obsolete...

I had my DNA tested using the National Geographic Genographic Project kit. Basically what this kit does is you swab the inside of your cheek to get a DNA sample, send it to the National Geographic labs, and they will post the results of your DNA finding, including...this is the cool part... maps and routes which your ancestors took from Africa to get wherever they were going, information on your people, what thier life was like, and more. It costs $99 bucks and is available at nationalgeographic.com/genographic.
So anyway, I got my results back, and since i'm male it only tested my Y chromosone (which is passed down in-tact from father to son throughout the generations, unlike women who have a mixture of X chromosones from different people). Here are my results:
To see them, go to http://www.nationalgeographic.com/genographic and where it says "ENTER KIT ID" type FWG6438AQ3 and you will see all the information about my Y chromosone, which I said, is really cool.
Anyone who is knowledgeable about this sort of thing, please shed some light on what i'm seeing.

I also enjoy that you build your units in "squads" (battalions, I believe the game calls them) as opposed to individual units. Maybe this is how most RTS games work these days; I reiterate that I haven't played one since Warcraft3, which I sucked so much ass at that I quit. So much easier to manage when you just click one dude and form a squad.
I also like the Powers system. Dropping an elven healing circle around my Elves (and mawfokkin' Boromir!) and kicking some goblin ass is the win. Good times. It's unfortunate that I am bound to the shackles of employment and am not playing right now. :(
