I really like the storyline laid out....
It follows the basics of any large military conflict...
1) The New Technology allows more ease of moving large equipment/people
2) The New Technology allows the quick expansion of new colonies
3) Colonies want independence and fight for it
Lets face it.. WW1 and 2 happened because it was now easy for everyone to move thier troops and equipment thanks to internal-combustion-engines....
Even after the assassination of that one dude that started WW1 and WW2 started because of WW1,
It would of all died down, and would not of become a 'World' War, was it not for human kinds ability to ship in large amounts of people/equipment easily...
God Forbid when we find a cheaper/smaller/more powerful power source...
It'll be another world war.. I guarantee it...
