MultiTES4 Alpha

If you want to see some really, really basic Oblivion multiplayer head over to this page where you can find an alpha version of MultiTES 4. Right now, all it supports is 2 people running around in Cyrodiil but the plan is to support 8 player deathmatch at some point. Thanks Blues News.

I'm actually pretty impressed they got this far.

To my understanding, there isn't any Morrowing multiplayer, right? And that game's been out for quite some time.

- there were a couple of mods that added sort of weird co-op play but they didn't work very well. : kbnerd

When I think of Elder Scrolls multiplayer, I think of coop. Hope that's what this ends up making possible.

Hope it gets from alphastage it could be rather cool, but still insanely difficult to make a multiplayer mod on Oblivion that is fun and makes sense

This dosn't sound that exciting. Dark Messiah of Might and Magic will have more advanced multiplayer with it's (hopefully) deeper combat system. Oblivion is awesome single player, and co-op would be great. But deathmatch? eh.

Wasn't something like this tried for Morrowind? How would the deathmatch be set up? Would you select from premade characters? There is no way they could allow single player characters in as most people have twinked their characters out to ridiculous levels.
