All 2 of you who haven't picked it up should go out and grab it. Only took me 3 days of light playing to finish it, but definately worth it. The old school style was a really nice change and the difficulty was just about right, had me cussing a few times. Lol @ the final castle, where you had to pick the correct path like in the original, also fuck those moving green blocks!

I've got all 1800 of my Europe vacation pics up. They are split by city/area to make it easy.
I won't post the actual list of files, just the links to the picasa pages, which is better so you only have too look at the thumbnails that interest you.
A TON of Normandy and Hitler's Eagles Nest pics are in here. Not all 1800 are captioned, only half. Too much typing for a one handed guy. A full writeup will come next week when I have two hands. Enjoy.
http://www.glio.net/europe/london/ - Our first stop, 4 days in London.
http://www.glio.net/europe/bayeaux/ - Bayeaux, France - Our "homebase" for the Normandy tours. 2 Days.
http://www.glio.net/europe/normandy/ - Normandy, everything WW2 under the sun is here.
http://www.glio.net/europe/paris/ - 2 Days in Paris.
http://www.glio.net/europe/geneva/ - Geneva, Switzerland to visit a friend. 2 days
http://www.glio.net/europe/gaden/ - Train to Munich (arrived on day of first cup game), then we trained down to Berchtesgaden for a day to see Eagles Nest.
http://www.glio.net/europe/mundau/ - Our trip to the Daucau Concentration Camp.
http://www.glio.net/europe/rome/ - 2 days in Rome.
http://www.glio.net/europe/italycoast/ - Train to Naples, went to Pompeii then stayed on the coast in Ravello (near to Salerno). Drove up the coast to see Amalfi, Positano.
Then we came home! 20 days in Europe.

To celebrate the 5th anniversary, BIS has put together a tech demo video of Armed Assault, released several new badass highres ArmA shots (with anti-aliasing, for once!), and put together a 5-year-anniversary press release.
You can find the press release here: http://www.bistudio.com/presspages/Operation_Flashpoint_Five_Year_Anniversary.html

It's been a hell of a ride these past five years. To quote a post from awhile back where I tried to describe what it is about Flashpoint that has made it so appealing to me for so long...
The best way I can think to explain Operation Flashpoint to you is to tell you a sampling of the things I've done in it over the years since it was originally released.
I've fought over every type of terrain you can find on our planet, from swampy marshes to vast deserts, frozen tundras, dense forests.. I've fought from the hills, on mountains, I've staged ambushes in valleys and dissapeared into jungles. From dusk to dawn and back again, in rain, snow, thunderstorms, fog.. I've gone out on solo missions, or as part of an elite 4-man SEAL team, oftentimes I've been commanding an entire squad of soldiers (12), and I've even been a Company Commander tasked with capturing a entire many-square-kilometer islands town-by-town with armor, air support, infantry, special forces, artillery... with all of it under my direction. I've fought in the past (WWII, Vietnam, the Gulf War), in the present (Iraq/Afghanistan), and the future. I've fought as an American, as a Russian, a Finn, even an Afghan rebel, and I've wielded unique, accurately-modelled weapons on every side. It's not just humans, either... I've killed dinosaurs, zombies, and even had a shot at Godzilla once upon a time. I've used real ballistics, real lead/compensation, to score a body shot on an enemy soldier running perpendicular to me 500 yards away - and I've felt the satisfaction that only a game like this could give you for making such a difficult shot on the first try. I've fought as a common grunt, as a special forces soldier, as a tank commander or gunner or driver, an APC crewman, an anti-tank gunner, a transport helo pilot or crew chief/door gunner, an attack helo pilot, a jet fighter/bomber pilot... I've jumped out of planes, I've fast-roped out of helicopters, I've even done HALO drops - High Altitude, Low Opening. I've watched the tide go out as the sun dips below the horizon while in a defensive position, I've stared at real starfields in a dark night sky as brilliant tracers flick up kilometers away as they chase after an A-10 doing an attack run...
...and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Flashpoint is nothing like those "other" games you might be thinking of. Give it the respect the dev team has so rightly earned. OFP has never been challenged for the throne it so securely holds. Never.
If you're interested in reading some of the experiences we've had with OFP over the years, you can check out any of the Shackbattle AAR's I've posted on my site ( http://dslyecxi.com/shackstuff.html ).

Has there been any info released on the "new" guitars? Are there even going to BE new guitars? I know the old ones will work, but are there any changes planned for the second game?

So I bought some new RAM to take my system to 2GB(2x1GB DIMM's). I've had quite a few BSOD's giving me the 0x0000008e stop error(which apparently 99% of the time points to memory), and ~10 memory read errors while playing World of Warcraft. I've ran Memtest 86 overnight and gotten 0 errors, I ran the Microsoft Diagnostic program for ~4 hours with 0 errors, I guess my last test will be to run Prime95 overnight and see if I get any errors, but my only problem with that is it won't tell me which DIMM is bad so the only conceivable thing will be to RMA both of them, I just can't figure out why I'm getting all these errors if no diagnostic tests are showing any trouble. Can anyone recommend another test or something that could help me pinpoint the problem?

(1) Never fight a land war in Asia...
(2) Never a borrower nor a lender be...
God damn how many times have I gotten sucked in to loaning someone cash, then go through the constant fight and harassment of getting them to pay me back. Never, ever, again. Why I am so stupid as to not let this settle in? I am too interested in being helpful, fuck you deadbeat friends!!
