WOW: Midsummer Fire Festival Starting Tomorrow

Blizzard has announced that a Midsummer Fire Festival is starting in World of Warcraft tomorrow. You will be able to find festival camps with bonfires all across Azeroth, the capital cities have Fire Festival quest givers and you can dance around ribbon poles among other things. The Midsummer Fire Festival will run until July 5, when it will end with fireworks.

I don't play WoW but they seem to have very odd holiday game events, I remember reading about the Valentine one. Anyway makes funny reading for the people who don't play it so I hope they keep it up.

  Yeah that was my thought. I mean, I guess it's cool that they have events that everyone can participate in, but to someone who doesn't play the game, reading the line 'you can dance around ribbon poles' doesn't come off as an awesome gameplay feature.

    It's kinda what we do here in Sweden. Only we put leaves on the pole, sing silly songs and merrily dance around it's phallic greatness.
