so i called and talked to the dude who wants 300$ for my apartment. he said it wasn't dirty floors, a dirty stove, or fucked up grout in my bathtub. no.
he said my cat shed so much in my bathtub the thing needs to be reglazed.
i was like "wtf, i was allowed to have a cat. i cleaned the fucking bathtub a couple times a month and i never noticed cathair in the "paint". where is paint on a bathtub anyway?!"
but he claims reglazing a ghetto-bathtub takes 300$, and even threatening a lawyer did nothing. they are sending pictures and a letter about my cracked out bathtub along with the 700$ left of my deposit.

I'm following my girlfriend on the road and following close behind her. We are driving a good pace when we both notice a cop on a bike waiting with a radar gun. She passes him by and I see him look down at the speed on his gun and prep his bike as I pass. I look down and notice that I was going 60 and was like "shit, I'm going too fast!" but slammed on my brakes and got my speed down before the cop got going. He puts his lights on, passes me by and stops my girlfriend. Now, do I go home and wave as I pass? No, I pull over as well behind the cop and motion that I'm with her. He comes over and says "You with her? Clocked her going 63 in a 45 and you were right behind her... license and registration please."
Moral of the story? Leave her ass behind next time.

Ok, so I have to admit, i've been a jaded SOB for sometime now. GRAW really let me down multiplayer wise, and the only game i've played on a consistant basis (if you can call 1-2 times a week consistant...) is Fight Night 3. As a result I couldn't of cared less about the games coming out in the spring - summer months. I wasn't particularly planning on picking up table tennis but it had sparked my curiosity as I enjoy it in real life. Yesterday it just so happend that my wife somehow managed to destroy my computer that has lasted virtually untouched for the last 3 years, and I spent a good deal of time reinstalling the OS and everything else. As punishment I made her go to the store and buy me the game.
With the formalties out of the way,Rockstars table tennis is hands down one of the most fun games (it's mo funner!) i've played all year. The gameplay is suprisingly deep yet easy to get into. The amount of variety each charcter caries both stylistically and stats wise is engaging and allows you to really find your style. The menu system also deserves kudos for being easy to manuever, stylish, and yet never cumbersome. it's very easy to find your way through the xbox live portion of the game and it's all laid out very smartly. This deserves special mention as most 360 have THE most crappy menu gui's.
Single player is challenging enough to make you much better at the game. I won my first tournament and I felt like I'd been through the ringer, and this was on easy! All said, it's nice for unlocking achievement and a neccesary must to unlock more than the initial 3 charcters you start with.
Multiplayer, is holy crap awesome. I played in a tournament with bozer, bagelcc, and I think one other shacker but I don't know his handle. You can actually play your games at the same time, then the game automatically advances, and the loser plays in the losers bracket, it's slick stuff and all handled extremly efficently. My system did have one hard lock but I'm not sure if that's a widespread problem (comments?). The lag is nearly non-existant aside from some add animations every now and then (really not enough to care about, just a passing mention here). The pace of the game is SO damn fast you will have a hard time at first training your brain to work that hard ;) Seriously, your positining/footing is everything, and if you are not in the right place at the right time you will get severly smacked down.
The great part about that, is that when you have a rally that goes 50-90 shots back and forth, all extremly fast with some very very close calls strung throughout, you will feel like a demi-god at the end of the rally regardless of whether or not you won it (but especially so if you do!!!!). It's really a HUGE rush, and the game is perfectly suited to multiplayer. Their is also a neat spectator mode which act's basically like pgr3, except you can see how many spectators are watching your match at any given momment, it's a nice touch and really makes you feel like a star.
You really can't beat the value your getting at such a kickass price, rockstar put an unusal amount of polish on this baby, and I have a feeling it's going to be around for a while. One thing of note, I doubt many assholes/kids will be picking this up, as last night's affair was purely people in their 20-30's that were very calm, cool, and very nice out of the 30 or so matches I played online.

Interested in Office 2007? Want to know what you get with out installing the software? Weren't able to get into the Beta 2 because the servers were swamped? ( http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/beta/getthebeta.mspx )
I wanted to become more familiar with Office 2007 so I thought the best way to do that would be to write a review... and I did. 12 pages long, focusing mostly on Word and Outlook but touching on Excel, Access, OneNote, InfoPath, PowerPoint, Publisher and Visio as well. The review was typed up in Word and saved using the new Save to PDF function. I have never been able to format a document as easily as I did that.
If you have any questions, reply and I'll see if I can't answer them. I worked hard on that so I hope you do enjoy it. I even managed not to say fuck!

Is it a drug test or a written test? I'm not worried about it or anything, I have just never worked in any kind of store or food place or anything like this and don't klnow how long it is going to take or whatnot.

Would the following each day be a good way to reach my goal over the next 2 months:
Early Morning: 1 hour cardio treadmill (15 min walk/15 min job x2)
Breakfast: (2 eggs, bacon, toast) or (Cereal - Corn Pops)
Lunch: Microwave Lean Cuisine meal package (210-170 calories)
Dinner: Microwave Lean Cuisine meal package / or Subway
Two/Three hours before bed: light snack aka Apple / Carrot sticks etc...
Throw in the physical workout of a 2/3 hour pickup game of soccer each week.
BTW - Of course there will be the occasional pint or two come weekend.

I'm trying to develop a small web page that will allow users to fill out a poll with a bunch of questions and grading (i.e. pick a film you saw and rate it in 10 questions on a scale 1-5 blah blah)... I want a few things though:
- use mysql to store the results
- generate some simple reports
- (optional) have some way to detect multiple entries from the same person (perhaps on a time-out of sorts)
- (optional) have some auto confirmation email that can be sent to an email address entered (maybe with a link to validate your entry)
And the question: are there any simple open source projects anybody can suggest as a basis? Php would be most familiar to me, but I'm open to other possiblities...

Is there a high quality/compression format that has good coverage over both platforms? Additional software installation is bad as the customers can be gumbies. The only other option seems to be one of the quicktime-based formats (Sorenson etc.).
Seriously, what the hell is with this stupid browser and ANY kind of embedded media? Either it doesn't play right, it doesn't loop right, or it just completely crashes immediately and I lose all the tabs I had open. This is honestly ridiculous. What do I have to do to stop this thing from crashing every time I happen to load a page with any kind of embedded media?!

I flew on one today. Because the flight was decided on at the last moment, I had to sign up to the waiting list and got one of the last tickets just minutes before take off.
My seat was 1A, which was not only on the first row, but right against the pilot's cabinet, facing and sharing legroom with the people on row 2 :)

Okay I'm sure this probably hasn't been an issue for you guys, but I'll fish anyway.
I'm using a System.Threading.Timer object inside a Windows Service, and it only recurs maybe 3 times before mysteriously dying. I've got an interval time of 5000ms so it can't be that it's overloaded. Using .NET 2.0 on Windows 2003.
At this point I'm just going to make up my own timer class I guess... lame assed.

So i'm confused, i got component cables for my ps2 yesterday and hooked it up to my lcd hdtv and popped in gran turismo 4 and everything looked great. I toss in rez and everything looks awesome. I pop in disgaea and the screen is all messed up, the bottom half of the screen looks like snow and the top part is the normal start menu for the game, but it stretched out to about twice it's normal length. The weird part is that if i use the regular composite cables and pop in disgaea, it works fine. Does anybody know what could cause this?
