This game looks amazing and fun. At first I though this was another RPG like Oblivion but now I know is just pure action (the ebst part of Oblivion).

In fact I dare to say that it grafics are better than oblivion's ones. Just hope it scales as good as ES:O and they have a customer. Can't wait to try multi on a fantasy setting.

This looks REALLY good. I tried Oblivion but just couldn't get into it. I just can't be arsed with games like Oblivion these days. I'm sure it's good but most of it just seems like too much of a chore to me. I might give it another go when my graphics card gets replaced, but Dark Messiah seems like it's all about the action and that's what I like! Should also run a whole lot better on my 6800GT than Oblivion.

Whoah, this clip from a Gamespy preview describes the same Goblin fight as in the video, but with a different approach and outcome:

Our ever-so-brief demo culminated with an encounter with a lumbering cyclops-like being that gave Sareth a chance to practice all three approaches to combat. He snuck into a room and was able to shoot some fireballs at the stalactites overhead before being discovered. When one of them nearly missed the monster, though, it was on. He and the Cyclops went at it hand-to-hand for a little while, but it was soon evident that the encounter was a bit one-sided. That was Sareth's cue to retreat and give the stalactites another try. Sure enough, his firebolt rang true and floored the behemoth, stunning him long enough for Sareth to draw his bow and score him in the eye. Ouch.

Looks like none of the fights are scripted or have single solutions. Sweet :)

WOW. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this game has been in development longer than SiN Episodes. I bought and played Emergence for a few hours last night and really enjoyed it, but Dark Messiah looks WAAAAAAAY better! I think I'm spoiled with post-processing effects, HDR, and other snazzy graphical tricks than Dark Messiah employs. Emergence just looks like a 2 year old game in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, it looks pretty damn good, but seeing Dark messiah, running on the SAME BASE ENGINE...I don't know. it blows it out of the water. This game looks amazing. That ogre fight at the end was the coolest boss battle I've ever seen.

Holy shit!

This just skyrocketed to the #1 position on my most-anticipated games list, even above Crysis and Quake Wars. That was an incredible demonstration. The Arkane guys have just taken the Source Engine and run with it. If any of the Arkane guys lurk here, then mad props to you!

I swear this game just looks more and more fantastic each time I see it. So much room for player choice and creativity and plenty of brilliant little details besides. Truly cannot wait, easily one of my most anticipated games this year.
