by Maarten Goldstein, May 08, 2006 8:43am PDTSo Chris, Steve and I are all chilling in Los Angeles now, waiting for the E3 fun to get started. Unfortunately for me I screwed and brought the wrong cable that goes into my laptop's power brick, so 10 minutes ago I ran out of battery power. Hopefully a store around here carries what I need. Pretty dumb to not check that it was the right cable, but hey it happens :(

Other than loving these franchises and the concepts could some one tell me why these are so much better than the xbox 360? Mind you I have been gaming for so many years I will probally get the ps3 for some games but I question the big difference if not... well I am just happy I have my xbox 360 and these screens just make me think....

Typing go resulted in a kernel panic. Considering that the Ultra 2 has UPA/SBUS and the Ultra 60 has UPA/PCI, that's probably a big fat "no". Oh well, I'll be able to test out the CD-ROM drive now. :-P

a) unlike Sony or MS, Nintendo never really bad mouthed the other company for having less stellar tech, games, controllers, internet, etc.
2) they're the only company to release their consoles at a price that isn't out of everyone's budget and STILL make a profit on their consoles.
d) instead of going for the graphically more powerful than the other guy approach, they release a console that truely does something new and different every time.
here's me being a fan boy for Nintendo. i'm not saying they've always done right and never wrong (VB...), i'm just saying they've done MORE right than wrong than the other companies out there. Nintendo doesn't get enough praise these days. and that's a real shame.
cheers, Nintendo! way to do it right!

Xbox wins mostly due to live. Play the Tom Clancy games with my friends over live was a great experience. The Star Wars single (and battlefront) were fun.
I’m a sucker for 1st party Nintendo games. And RE4 was kick ass.
PS2 some were ok, but I don’t like the successful football game or EA games in general (not due to their management practices, but just because they don’t make many games I like to play). I personally did not get a killer app out of the PS2, Guitar Heroes is close.
So, take a snap shot of the E3 videos and what MS is doing with the 360. I really like Elder Scrolls and GRAW, but that is pretty much it. Got my 360 on launch day, so that issue did not affect me, but lack of games has.
I like what I’ve seen of the Wii games, and the new controller idea is pretty cool. I don’t know about changing the paradigm of home console input. They seem to have done well with the DS’s new input.
PS3 so far, not very impressed other then the controller mod and the rear view mirror to a PSP. I think blue-tooth will loose to HD-DVD also.
Wii > 360 > PS3, based on pure speculation.
Who was a little dissapointed by lastnight's 24
seem'd a little slow.. and drawn out.

I have three tables (actually 5 counting the linking tables), an Employee table, a position table, and a Department table. Emplyees have positions, and positions are in departments. Each is a many to many relationship.
I'm trying to get a listing of users in a department. However, I'm getting some duplicate users because they are in 2 different positions that are both in the same department. Is there any way to prevent this?
My query is:
select * from users
INNER JOIN UserPositions on UserPositions.UserID = Users.ID
INNER JOIN Position on Position.ID = UserPositions.PositionID
INNER JOIN Department DE on Position.department = DE.ID
where DE.ID = 16 order by users.id

Can anyone provide a link to some good, FREE e-learning/training authoring software? Something that lets you record your screen activity, do voiceover and deliver a flash presentation as the end result?
Company needs me to create a demo for their software product and I don't have any authoring programs.
Thanks!

This lady at my work has two computers connected to a single DSL connection. One upstairs directly connects to the router (or so she says) and the 2nd (down stairs) connects wirelessly to the router. She says that for some reason neither works unless both computers are up and running. I've never heard of this before so I'm baffled, has anyone here ever heard of this? If so, is there an easy enough solution I can give her that won't sound like rocker science? (she's not that savvy)
