Q3Test SMP benchmarks

AnandTech has quickly posted some new Q3Test benchmark figures with SMP enabled on a dual P3 450 system. They run through the resolutionss- it's pretty bad-ass even though things might not be fully optimized. Makes that dual celery system all worth it eh?

  • oh and btw.. overclocking that nice celery.. i have nothing against intel.. i rather like their stuff... its just that intel over prices it...(thats why you can over clock a celery) and the k7 600 is the same chip that will be a k7 1ghz.. so you would POSSABLY.. over clock your k7 600 to k7 1ghz.. but the cooling would be a bitch..and the k7 system will last LONGER than that MELT DOWN waiting to happen celery system...
but 1 k7 beats 2 p3 550\'s.. w/o optimizations on the k7 and using the sse optimizations on the p3 the k7 still blows the p3 away.. and thats a SINGLE k7 600... i\'d love to see a dual k7 600... ehhehe just adding input

  • Bah! Bah I say. All I am having is trouble. Running a Voodoo 3 on a P3 and I keep getting these wierd effects while using the vertex lighting. If I could choose either of the two, I will choose the vertex all out, if it wasn\'t for this one bug. I\'m running down a hall and the texture in front of me looks normal one second, all shrunk down to hundreds of copies of itself and the next, it is REALLY expanded. Expanded like you only see a quarter of the texture on the brush face. This is only happening to me in vertex lighting and, yes, I did use GLsetup, and yes, I did email id about it. Just want to know if any of you have had the same *#@(*(@* problem?

    Back to lightmap for me.
