PhysX Game Impressions
by Maarten Goldstein, May 02, 2006 3:59pm PDTPC Perspective has posted a new article, taking a video look at the AGEIA PhysX PPU as used by Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter and the CellFactor PPU. I hear the videos can be downloaded from a totally awesome site.

What are they smoking? Gameplay aside (as I have not played the full version), the image quality in the demo didn't do much for me compared to the 360 version. Granted it was locked at medium, but I was still pretty unimpressed.
Anyway, I'd be happy to buy a $250 PPU on top of a $300 GPU just to play modern PC games at a decent resolution.
Not.
I'm sure developers will find a way to scale physics effects, but I really don't see this PPU thing taking off. Maybe with the Alienware crowd.
