The niche as I see it for Ageia is to provide an inexpensive option to enable single-core machines to do advanced physics processing and at $300 you could just buy a multi-core proc (assuming I'm correct).
If physics proccessing does become the next big thing expect to see Intel and AMD all over this.

Would be cool to see them use the fluid dynamics for air density, wind, etc., and have it affect flying units.
