pongatan isn\'t done yet, it\'ll be maybe 1-2 weeks more until it\'s in a finished state. Once I feel it\'s ready I\'ll post the download link here on the forums.
All the time I thought DK meant Dungeon Keeper.
:)
What do you think is happening with Q3A as well? All the reviews I\'ve seen gave UT better marks.
Smells good doesn\'t it?
Sales numbers would disagree with you.
Did 3500 people buy Quake 3?
Did 11000 people buy Half-Life?
No, obviously a LOT more did, and they didn\'t buy it for internet play.
(joke that\'s funny and hasn\'t been run into the ground yet)
#71 - I know! I suddenly feel so alone. I think I\'ll go make some friends over at the PlanetDaikatana forums...

Holy shit. Help me.

Errr...who needs to pay for games to play without lag?
Honestly, I don\'t think Romero\'s thinking is three years out of date... I think he\'s trying to exploit a neglected part of the market, the singleplayer FPS.
Regardless of how important we feel us online people are, remember that Q3 peaks with out 3000 people online. That is not a large amount of people when compared to the number of people purchasing games.

pongatana will be cool. yes, I\'m actually making a pong game called pongatana and my goal is to release it before daikatana ships (which shouldn\'t be tough to do).
#46 it\'s good to know other people also like pong still, even if they are from goatse.cx heh
Ofcourse they will release a demo that will kick the hell out of everything! Otherwise, THE DAIKATANA will not be as popular as the other games..
I am guessing, this cannot happen to THE DAIKATANA!
Killcreek: \"I\'ll be ecstatic to be a part of shipping Daikatana. This team has overcome more adversity than I could possibly explain, and we\'ve made it through. It\'s a great feeling, and I\'ve learned so much from it. After that I am thrilled to be able to start on a project from the beginning -- to create my own fresh content rather than work on something abandoned by someone else\"
Not sure WHY I find the last part there so funny...
I quite like \'em. The first of the two is LSDCTF1 and it is HUGE. Two very cool citadels with a slightly southwestern theme to buildings in parts. Lots of neat stuff to poke around. The second, LSDCTF4, is a total remake of QWCTF\'s Forgotton Mines. It is VERY, VERY cool. Very nicely done.
I had a lot more fun poking around these maps than the Three-wave ones. Both are maze-like in many ways, but unlike the Three-wave maps I didn\'t feel like I was going in circles all the time.
Anyhow... here\'s the link: http://www.clan-lsd.com/lsdctf.pk3
