Prey Movie

I think the player should shut up too. I found the whole "that's fucked up" thing to be very tacky myself.

I liked this straight up gameplay movie much more than the trailer. But the animation looked subpar (especially on that crazy human/dog/alien blend character) and the Tommy character voice acting was pretty damn bad.

You guys found that video impressive??? AI? weapons? claustrophobic rooms? Generic bosses? Ive been coming here for years and you guys are alot harder on games why is prey getting a pass?

I don't know if i'm the only one but i don't like what i saw there. Seems to me theres nothing original in this!? I mean, those portal things and multiple gravity paths were all seen in Serious Sam for example.

Its gonna take more than this to hook me up into this. So far i'm not going to buy this.

Visually it's pretty nice...

And yeah i agree i dislike silent characters as well. I love this lines in this movie....This stuff is TOP!!!

That planet-in-da-box part was just brilliant. The concept in itself isn't so new, but that's the first time I saw anything like it in a game. (and very well executed at that.. 'omg he's a giant' :D )
It's one of those 'simple' things that video games can do quite easily: make things really big, bends the rule of reality, and that IMHO we don't see enough of.
I so dislike realistic boring games - I do agree there are interesting/fun realistic games, but I play games to be able to do and see things I can't experiment in real life. I love games that really transport me to a different universe, and Prey seem to do it in so many great ways..

Damn, now I wish I hadn't watched that video just to experience that part first hand. :p

This game is at the TOP of my list. The gameplay footage only further excited me! But damn that supertrailer was sweet. Can't wait.

Well, as far as a FPS can go, this game seems to innovate quite a bit. The "small" box and seeing yourself on the teleporter was really cool. If we have more unorthodox moments like that on the game, it'll be seriously fucked up!

Haha @ little alien slipping on the blood. Music sounded nice, and this looks awesome. I think tommy's voiceovers will give the player a connection and improve the value of the story. Best video yet, can't wait.

Do you guys think that the player got physically shrunk to fit on the round planet ball thing, or if he just got teleported to a planet/ball thing on another room where everything was sized up (to create the illusion of being on the original ball)?

Anyone know of a torrent link? I wish filerush still kept torrent downloads or that 3dgamers kept torrents for most files. :/

Wow, this was by far the sweetest clip I've seen of the game yet.

Honestly, my favorite part was right at the begining when he steps on the gravity walkway or whatever it's called and he goes 'Woah! Hah!" It seems like a simple thing, but one thing I dislike in games is characters that don't seem to notice the unusual circumstances around them. I guess it's from playing too many FPSs with voiceless characters like Mr. Freeman or the dude from Quake 4. I mean, he gets turned into a strogg and he can't even muster up a "Bummer"

I would have liked even more commentary honestly. When the crate tips over to reveal the portal in it, a "Woah what the..." would have been nice.

That and when he goes through the portal onto the egg/planetoid. The fact that portal travel can mess with scale is awesome.

I've been sold on this game for a long time... I probably shouldn't watch any more of these, but I have a feeling I'll DL them all.

BTW the voice acting was fine.

FYI, this clip is from very early in the game, so we don't give away any of the good stuff, and you only see one weapon. Coming videos (there will only be 2-3 more released) will show other interesting aspects of Prey's gameplay, such as deathwalk, gravity flipping, spirit walk, and some nice portal mind-benders.
