Seagate Plans Perpendicular SCSI Drives
by Maarten Goldstein, Apr 18, 2006 5:57am PDTTech Report is reporting that Seagate plans to release a Cheetah 15K.5 SCSI drive using perpendicular recording technology later this year. By going perpendicular, Seagate can up the storage space to 300gb (up from 147gb now). Seagate also claims 125MB/s sustained transfer rates for the drive. Must ..resist..posting..perpendicular link.
