S2 Games has announced that the deadline to pre-order Savage 2: A Tortured Soul and get in on the closed beta has been extended. Originally the pre-order special was due to end today, but S2 Games will be letting people in until June 1st now.

I pre-ordered. Savage was a fun game, and S2 did a great job supporting the community. They had a great Linux client when the game was still in Beta, then bundled in the box; got to show some love for that.

Savage2 looks great in the screenshots, but I have to admit, I picked up the game primarily to show support to a smaller deverloper that's done right by me in the past. Savage, and I expect Savage 2, are very complex games to just "pick up" on a pub server. The lack of either a single player campaign, or more importantly, just single player bot-skirmish, really knocks my interest down a few notches.
