I think it might be difficult for me to not spend all three days at E3 playing Quake Wars. Damn that game looks nice. Also on FileShack

  • I'm doing a research paper on media violence and i have to do 25 abstracts. I have one of those "Opposing Viewpoints" books and i'm doing most of my abstracts from those(teacher said we can use each one as a seperate source and not have to cross reference, just ignore the fact thats in a differnt than orig. book)

But the point is that some of these people are ridiculous, I feel like i'm reading a book about Jack Thompson wannabes. Infact the only good position I've read so far is by our good friend Doug Lowenstein who actually brought up, *GASP* valid arguments and questioned research after looking at the whole thing and not just the results. Ohshi, Blowing into a horn louder than the researcher after watching a violent movie is "aggressive" behavior, and so is telling the reasearch director at a school to stop funding for research. The Horror....

    So anyways a few questions
1.) Whats the best way to do research for a research paper, use one of these books where i can get alot of "facts" and opinions quickly, read full book on the subject by authors, or both?
2.) What is Jack Thompson's new website, stopkill.com is borked
3.) Any good articles, opinions on any sort of media violence you've seen on the web?
4.) Whats your opinion on media violence, and is it affecting our kids, and should we limit it if it is?
