X-Com Alliance
by Maarten Goldstein, Jan 25, 2000 4:47pm PSTHaven't really been keeping up with this game, but Telefragged has a few new images of the latest installment in the X-Com series, X-Com Alliance, which is powered by the Unreal engine, and it's not too bad. What's pretty nifty is that you can see what your team mates are seeing (this screenshot).

I\'m with ya, and I get the whole stats thing....but sometimes those little pussies woud run away or panic or something, or completely miss a gray 2 squares away, and It would make me yearn to be right there holding the Heavy plasma :)
But I always thought that it bit when an alien was only a few squares away and your guy missed. I know I wouldn\'t miss from 6 feet\"
I agree that was really annoying, but it kept to the games rules. ie. if you had a rookie with low attributes, namely courage(or bravery I forget, shame on me) not only would he miss but sometimes run away(that was even worse). Now that I think about it, sometimes they panic too. Jeez, they were a bunch of pussies :) But seriously, a high level captian or leut. would hardly ever miss.
I loved the original X-COM (played it through again like 6 months ago)

Plus I always wanted to bust a cap in one of those ugly gray motherfuckers face-to-face.
need...to...type...faster...
X-COM: Genesis (Hasbro/Microprose) - real-time (bad) squad-based strategy...
Dreamland (MythosGames!!!) - remake of the original X-COM, but with different name and a little bit different plot, but its X-COM (turn-based, isometric view and beautiful 3D graphics, btw this game will be first turn-based strategy for PSX 2!!!)...
