Windows Consumer Vista Delayed
by Maarten Goldstein, Mar 21, 2006 3:35pm PSTNo Vista for consumers in 2006 as Microsoft has announced that their new operating system has been delayed. The new ETA is January of 2007. Corporate versions are still expected in November.

Consumers, however, use whatever comes on the machine they buy from Dell.
Microsoft would see much higher adoption rates this year from consumers than from enterprise customers. And assuming they release a volume license version, those same consumers may already have a "copy" of Vista by the time the consumer version rolls out.

i know they said they would release it around the same time or something right?
Instead they get the corprate version out first. Is that so my boss can install it on my work PC for Christmas?
