That's incredibly backwards. Corporations will take 6 months minimum to figure out how best to deploy Vista to their employees, assuming they even decide that Vista is worth deploying at this time.

Consumers, however, use whatever comes on the machine they buy from Dell.

Microsoft would see much higher adoption rates this year from consumers than from enterprise customers. And assuming they release a volume license version, those same consumers may already have a "copy" of Vista by the time the consumer version rolls out.

can we all agree to call it "Windows V"? "Vista" is one of the longest-to-pronounce two-syllable words in the English Language, and it's going to be very annoying to hear it over and over again.

Strange, I thought they'd want to get the consumer version out for the Christmas rush.

Instead they get the corprate version out first. Is that so my boss can install it on my work PC for Christmas?

Does not surprise me much at the delay but Corporate still be released? Hell, I don't see our company even going to Vista in the near future at all. XP seems to be fine and dandy until support/patches run out of course.
