  • I have a very strange problem/issue with my PC. I noticed it recently while doing Skype while playing Wow, but I've now realized the problem is something else.

    Symptoms:
Headphones on with volume up midway, when ever I move the mouse I can hear a very distinct static/clicking noise that comes and goes in precise coordination with mouse movements. Turns out its audible via speakers as well.

CPU utilization goes through the roof --> 70%+

If I'm resizing a window (ie explorer, firefox) CPU utilization hits nearly 100%. (E.g. click and grab corner of window and move it around in rapid circles).

Is this a mouse driver issue? Sound card driver issue? HALP!

    Hardware:
    Aopen AX45-8xn
    P4 2.53ghz
    Geforce 6800GT
SB Audigy (1) - latest drivers
Microsoft USB wheel mouse - no specific driver (windows)

Anyone have any ideas what's going on here?
