Oblivion Soundtrack Released

The Elder Scrolls website has been updated, offering a link to Jeremy Soule's DirectSong.com, which now has the soundtrack to Oblivion up for sale for $9.99. You can also preview several tracks.

More Total Annihilation-level awesome music please. Hope J gets orchestras instead of more synths, Oblivion sounds great but nothing can come close to the TA feeling.

I only heard the preview.. from what i heard:
that soundtrack ain't anywhere near the quality of outcasts music..
Sure game music should just make the atmosphere..
but some melody work IS ok.. which i don't hear alot in game music...

In total annihilation though, the guy was perfectly able to make battle music that was incredible, and quite appropriate in combat situations!

Little known fact: Since Morrowind's music was a batch of mp3s inside the respective "Music" directory, I was able to add music to those folders and Morrowind would play them automatically.

I must say, it's quite a treat to hear music from the Lord of the Rings mixed with Morrowind's soundtrack. I can only hope that Oblivion supports the same functionality.

Jeremy Soule makes good wandering/exploratory music, but I think devs should stop using him for battles/intense moments.

His subdued style doesn't really fit for fighting/pvp especially in Guild Wars. It's enough to put me to sleep. Hearing the "Hall of Heroes" song when you're actually in the Hall of Heroes seems totally out of place.

Sounds great... That Reign of the Septims track got a slight Morrowind-theme feeling to it, which is nice. Jeremy Soule is a musical genious!

Is the soundtrack included in the Collector's Edition of TES4:Oblivion?
