SpellForce 2 Demo

Can someone tell me where to find Rolf? I've found his sister, but I can't seem to go any further west than the portal.

It gives me a nice handy access violation, the Main Menu is fun though :(

allright... mini-review...

First of all.. long demo!.. you can play this for hours.
The graphics look like on the screenshots.. Animations are good too..
I especially like looking at the horseriders..

The gamedesign seems very polished...
alot of good decisions which make sense and make it more easy..
i didn't play spellforce 1 though..
you basically walk around with your heroes.. get quests...
sometimes you get a base with which you pump out units to help you for another quest..

the story and universe are kind of interesting..
your race is inbetween the good and the evil races.. and your blood is mixed with the last dragons blood..

i haven't found anything bad about this game.. except:
long loading times.. and i mean really long..
i do not have a good pc though
( 128 mb graphics card 512 mb slow ram.. )
it's loading a huge map in this time in which you can play for more than an hour so it doesn't bother me that much...

the game seems HUGE.. as you can take a look at the map of the world...
there are alot of islands...
the writing of the dialogues lacks wit.. it's basically stating facts with different voices.. maybe there is more character interaction in the full game as it's basically tutorial + one map in the campaign mode..
anyway.. i had alot of fun playing it.. makes me think my pc is outdated though..

Is not the best decision I know.
In the US full version there wont be a StarForce protection system.

But I also wouldnt worry about StarForce on the demo. With the demo comes a tool which allows you to remove StarForce and his drivers.

Wow, what a beatiful game. I loved Spellforce 1 and this is so much better. It looks like Oblivion RTS And it ran great on max settings with my 6800gt. Too bad there was only medium textures. A solid demo (with starforce sadly) that has ensured my money.

Only thing that bugged me was the god awful acting. I mean comon, at least act a little conserned that your people are being killed and all that. "oh no...we need help...yawn" At least it's a little better then in the first game.

Starforce'D == DELETED!

Publishers have to know that Starforce copy protection is hurting their sales....I don't understand why anyone still continues to use it. Only thing I can think of is they are locked into some kind of contract, but even then I would think that there's enough non-ancedotal evidence to support breaking it.

I mean, if this was a drug, the FDA woulda yacked it a long time ago and the pharm co. would be shelling out millions in lawsuits.

I won't buy anything using Starforce and I knoow two of friends won't either.

I'm impressed by the ability of ancient mythical armies to color-coordinate so effectively

I must have missed something - can someone give me a quick explanation as to what exactly is "starforce"

some kind of copy protection that is automatically installed on your computer upon installing their game that renders your computer useless?

Hi,

I'm sorry to inform you, that the starforce removal tool does not remove all entries from the registry .
You'll have to do that with some sort of registry cleaner, otherwise starforce will remain a spooky guest on your pc and may continue to cause trouble.
I've got my share of starforce experience

Holy crap it's awesome! Beautiful Graphics, Decent voice acting, I love the transition from RTS to Third Person Adventure and back. It's so nice and unique. I might actually have to buy this one, wow I'm impressed.

Ugh...why Copy Protection on a DEMO! Demos are FREEWARE! Wtf?
I guess cus Demos are used in the hacking of Retail games? Ok, I just thought myself through that one, but fuck Starforce, I simply won't buy anything with starforce

After playing the first one, it's ironic this game has any copy protection because I can't see anyone pirating a game that isn't fun.

Are those screen shots for real? I mean do they reflect what actual gameplay looks like or are they posed and manipulated?

And too bad about Starforce, I really wanted to try out this game. I have already lost one DVD burner this year and can't afford another one. Is there anyway to hack it and get around Starforce?

The pain of the 2 hour tutorial mission of the first spellforce swelters in my mind. The pure dread of that experience will prevent me from downloading this.

Woah, this does look pretty nice.

Unfortunately my RTS experience doesn't extend beyond Warcraft/Starcraft, TA and a spot of AoE. Can anyone who's played this or Spellforce 1 give a comparison?
