Review of Tmobile's MDA, aka the WM5 PocketPC Phone that doesn't suck

What you have is a PocketPC running Windows Mobile 5, which was designed to be a cell phone interface. Don't confuse this with any old "Smartphone." This thing will rock your nuts off... if you like to stay organized and stay connected.
First off, how does it work as a phone? I really would feel everything else would be for not if this was a shitty phone. I am happy to say thus far it has been a great phone. That is to say, it is easy to make outgoing calls, calls sound crisp and clear, address book is solid, call logs are full of information, speakerphone works fine as does my Bluetooth Headset. As far as day to day calling use goes, I am quite happy with this bugger.
What are some killer features? For me it has to be how it syncs with Exchange over Tmobile's EDGE network. Every 5 minutes my MDA checks with my Exchange server (over SSL) if I have anything new on my Calendar, anything new in my Address book and anything new in my Inbox (and other folders that I have in Exchange/Outlook). If you work in an office, this is a must have! I've already sold 3 clients on it as they are out and about and at any time their secretary can add something to their calendar and they have it.
I am not an office nerd, what about me? You can setup the MDA to sync with your PC and then use your IMAP server for email on the phone. If you don't have exchange, this is the best way to go. The mobile outlook application supports pop3 but anyone who has ever used pop3 on multiple machines knows how fun that can be. Hotmail is also supported (but who cares?) SMS and MMS from this thing is quite easy and I enjoy it quite a bit. Being able to store old SMSs in seperate folders is nothing new. This just makes it a hell of a lot easier!
Keep going... Okay, some other random things I really dig. When you are in a call there is a note button. Press it and you get the caller's name, phone # and call time + date in a note. Then you can type and or scribble notes about the call you are on. Of course, you can run anything else while you are in a call so getting to your calendar is no big deal or your todo list. Any which way you cut it, that is bad ass. Generally speaking, I have been a fan of PocketPC's PIM for a long time and bringing the phone together with that really has made it quite a bit better.
Nerdy Shit ... So far for me battery life and signal strength have both been good. I don't expect a miracle from the battery on this thing when its using EDGE every 5 minutes and bluetooth is always on. However, I am getting through my day with out it going dead on me. I just charge every night. Since it has a standard USB connection on it, charging it on any PC works and there are a whole shit ton of chargers out that use that USB connection. EDGE speeds have been good and when I want to, I can quickly switch over to 802.11b and use wifi if I so desire. I've yet to crash this thing (thats new to me in the pocket pc world, my axim gets rebooted daily) and for a 200mhz CPU, it is quite impressive (its a TI cpu designed specifically for phones like this, with support on chip for bluetooth, wifi, etc. Remember, mhz ain't everything.) My axim out performs it on things like video though, but the axim is designed to be able to do video.

I'm tryin to copy my music library over to my shiny new NAS, only to have the lengthy transfer repeatedly interrupted by filenames containing the \ character (preceeding a quotation mark). Is there a quick way to recurse through the directories, finding all filenames with \ in them and stripping it out? I'd like to leave the rest of the file name the same, if possible.
I've done a simple search from the finder and found all 30 or so offending files, so I could manually change it without too much effort, I'd just like to know a technique for removing offensive characters in the future.

Each of these creatures took around 3-4 hours start to finish. I didn't really use any concepts to follow I just sort 3d doodled them out.
The guy on the left I did yesterday night and is somewhat inspired by that badass dude in Gears of War, the one with the big ass gun on his back. Obviously the lower half I didn't really finish working on, so that's the reason he looks club footed.
The one on the right is a pinky inspired creation I just finished a few minutes ago.
Both of the designs are kind of rips, but I was more working on them for the technical knowledge rather than pure design sake. Anyways, I value the shackpinion so any input is much appreciated.

Need some help, im stuck and not quote sure what i missed... spoiler'd just in case..

Was playing awesome last night, healed this guy, then went over and got a special ops bag, tried to jump in the helocopter, as I did I turned to see an enemy and a guy trying to knife him. He is trying to get C4 on my CHOPPA.
So I just lay down shit, cause that fucker who was trying to knife him wasnt doing jack shit.
I end up killing both of them, and that fucker turned out to be the admin, and booted me. I was the TOP player on the server. What a fucking tard.

Ok, i've been putting all my websites on SurpassHosting for a while now.. but, im thinking of putting another site on some diffrent hosting.. but i'm not sure who to go with..
I've searched thru all the comments for hosting stuff, and it seems to be a tossup between Dreamhost and r4ckless's hosing, RapidStores.
Can I get some detailed +'s and -'s between the two? or any other hosting services that could be relevant? I'm thinking, if I pull this off, this website will become pretty popular, so i'd need something fast, robust, and reliable. Lots of bandwidth, space isn't really a big issue. I like the idea of being able to setup email accounts as well, one of dreamhost's packages included like 10,000 email addresses.. that was interesting.. anyways.. so, convince me to go to another host.
