Simply put, this is the game that will finish off eq2. People who hate wow on principal will love this game, even over eq2.

    EQ2 went friendly, not hardcore. Sony in general wanted to turn the franchise around to be more easier/friendly in general. They introduced a lot of more intridicate quests, but overall wanted the game to feel easier. They took out the "group" vs "single" pull for just this reason.
    
    EQ went in a whole other direction. It's why Sony (EQ) fired the people who jumped ship for Vanguard.

      Which is one of the reason why i hope Sigil Games is successfull. Hope there is an open beta soon so i can give it a shot.
      
      Any word on when fileplanet when have it? They get em all.
