A playable demo of Shogun: Total War has been released by Electronic Arts. It's a 3D RTS/Myth style looking game and the demo is about 100megs. You might wanna look at some screenshots to decide: [shot1] [shot2] [shot3] [shot4]. Looks kinda cool, grab it from the guys at 3DAG. I gave the demo a run around for about 10 minutes and the camera control system is just darn fun. The formation stuff is similar to AoE2 although not quite as well executed. Didnt get into any combat so not sure how that is.

  • Man, i\'m really looking forward to this game, i first heard of this back in like feb of 99 if not before, i had heard not a peep about this game since, holy crap but this looks cool. The graphics are OK, but the gameplay aspects are what is really intruiging me on this. The fact that your leader dies and must leave a succesor, that you may need to have your guy commit sepoku in order to retain family honor. I mean, the conciderations that have gone into this are just to cool. i dl\'ed the demo at home this morning but now im at work and i cant wait to get home to give this a run. I cant beleive they\'re going to try this Multiplaayer though, i mean shit, how many units are going to be moving on a given screen? Oh well, i look forward to the SP portion of the game :)
