This is my list
IMO
Playstation 2 = socom series (i cant find anything good about this game)
Gcube = mario kart double dash (boring single player)
xbox = halo series (gave each game 6 hours gameplay got boring... it was ok for the 1st hour then it got really bland)
pc = warcraft 3 (finished the single player, pretty fun but never had the urge to play it again nor play the multiplayer segment.)

Tonight, things are quiet, but then the phone rings. It's a gentleman I've spoken with before on a few occasions...enough to know this is going to be horrible.
This guy is the husband of a lady who works in our University library. She's gotta be pushing 82, he's probably even farther along. Everyone knows old people and technology usually don't go well together, and this guy exemplifies it.
He can't describe what his problem is very well, so it takes almost 12 minutes to even figure out what he's actually complaining about. I'm still a bit unsure, but I'd put money on him repositioning his task bar. It's not at the bottom like it usually is, it's on the right side. I try and try to have this guy click (he asks "left click or right click" everytime I say "click on x") anywhere on his task bar where there isn't something already and drag the mouse to the bottom of his screen.
I think he's so old that he can't hold the button down, because he just can't do it. We got it on the top of the screen, and all the way over to the left, but he can't put it together that all he has to do is do the same thing but get it to the bottom. Instead of realizing his hands just can't do it, he says "it's not working" and you can't argue with him because he sees it clearly not working.
I admit that I *could* be wrong, so I walk this guy through a print screen copy/paste into paint and want him to email it to me and call me back. He couldn't figure out how to do his email because the icon isn't where it normally is. I get him through that and I am now waiting for him to email it to me and call back. I've spent almost 40 minutes on the phone with this guy already.
However, it's not as bad as the time I had to walk him through using spybot.
-sigh-

Answer: Sound has to have a medium to travel in, and also, that medium here on earth is air and it is actually the air creating the sound, not the speed directly.
However, I recently read something on fast torpedoes. Generally, fast torpedoes were actually slow. They have overcome this problem by placing a tip that causes a cavity of vaccum to form around the torpedoe, which allows it to go faster.
Theretically, if we could create such a thing in air, around an airplane, couldnt we reduce the sound of a sonic boom?

But I'm not digging the delay factor.
There is a video showing the lag on an LCD somewhere, if anybody can find it please link. ;)
Is the delay really that bad? I mean, I'm not gonna be signing up for the CPL, I just want to play some games and do some serious max work.
Will this monitor be a good choice?
Are there any alternatives that might work?

Somehow I have a bunch of duplicate songs in my library. Like, up to three of the same song. Is there an easy way to get rid of the copies without manually looking through the list?
And don't tell me to switch to Winamp, it doesn't work for me =P

I need some help!
Im creating a "program" for my class in excel. I have the "program" written, but I need to be able to copy and paste it within the same spread sheet. However, when I do this, rather than carry over the correct placements for the values, it carries over the old placements. Is there a way to correct this so that it will use new parameters without going through and rehashing everything again by changing the values manually.
If that doesnt make sense here is a more literal explaination:
I have an equation that points to cell A6.
When I copy it, it still says A6 rather than A20 which is where the copied value is located.
This is important because the values will change because new parameters will be introduced in second, third... on to 10 iterations of the program.

The social avoidance that normally develops when a mouse repeatedly experiences defeat by a dominant animal disappears when it lacks a gene for a memory molecule in a brain circuit for social learning, scientists have discovered. Mice engineered to lack this memory molecule continued to welcome strangers in spite of repeated social defeat. Their unaltered peers subjected to the same hard knocks became confirmed loners – unless the researchers treated them with antidepressants.

I am upset, as there are so few entries and I wanted to try a shack recipe. So I am going to ask you to get involved at shackfood, and post me some recipes. I will be putting in some of my own recipes as I have stumbled upon some free time.
Also, anyone want to give me an easy recipe to try for dinner tonight?
