4As promised, a singleplayer TimeShift demo is now available. The 577mb download includes one full level where you'll have to infiltrate the heavily guarded Imperial Building using your timeshifting powers. Saber Interactive's sci-fi shooter is due out later this year on PC, Xbox and Xbox 360.

1) If you see the 6001 error, that is InstallShield. Use Google to find the fix or you can be lazy and read what Installshield says to do...
If you get an InstallShield error code -6001 during setup, try simply deleting the following folder from your computer and attempt to run the installer again:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional\RunTime\0701
If this fails to correct the problem, we recommend you RENAME (not delete) the entire C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\ folder and try again. You may rename the folder to anything you like, but we recommend something similar to 'InstallShield-old'.
The game has an auto detect feature for video settings but sometimes it goofs up (we are working on this feature for the full game) so go into the video settings and dick around. Major features that affect performance are Resolution, Matrial Quality, Anti Aliasing, and of course Reflections.
As far as Straffing it sure works, use WASD to navigate, strafe works fine. If you are a Left / Right Arrow person then yea, you are SOL, you can't remap them until the full version (yea bitch and moan to me).

I don't think I've seen many Shackers that have REALLY liked any kind of demo that's been released.

I played the demo and liked it a lot - on my P4 3.4 I got a solid frame rate and I liked the visuals a lot. Better than FEAR whic was pretty but basic...
I also liked stopping time and grabbing weapons out of enemies hands. The demo is too short though

For console owners i'd say when it comes out just maybe just rent it, because the chances are you'll blast through it on a weekend. I know thats what i'll be doing, its an OK game from what i could see, but not good enough to warrent a purchase

- Take a generic sci-fi first person shooter

I personally think the Shack should boycott this game until Atari hires people that actually know what the hell they're doing. The game looks terrible until you go through and manually max out every setting, which almost makes the game unplayable on my fairly high-end machine. And most importantly, who the hell makes the arrow keys unbindable?? I play with them, and the need to use wasd is totally unacceptable and stupid.
This game has BAD CONSOLE PORT written all over it, and I don't see the 360 version being any better. I predict this game will enter market with a bang and leave with a whimper, and the only people who will be whimpering are the poor souls that spent 60 bucks on this sub-par, amateur game.

You know that part where you come upon this poster that reads "Silence Is Golden"...
...well maybe that should be some sort of self-prophecy for the devs cause I sure as hell dont want to hear about when this bad game turns gold.
Why would you put a cut-scene where you can still be in combat with the enemy (the button at the end - push it while being attacked=fun bugs).
Boring gameplay - the time stuff was boring in BLINX it is in TIMESHIT as well.

First, too short. Way too short. No way would I make a decision to buy on that.
Second, I turned up the settings and the game would "stutter" a little but not "frames dropped" stuttered but more like "dude keeps pausing while walking" suttered.
So, so far no good
