If they take the time to do good scene composition then it probably bodes well for the attention to detail that will be put into the environments (fingers crossed).
I'd say that these are the first screenshots since the HL2 ones which have made me sit up and take notice about a game. Admittedly none of my "farm" of decrepit PC's will be able to run it worth a damn :P But hey, it's been a while since i needed a good excuse to upgrade.
the faq below said you did.....

I'm pretty sure there is no monthly fee - anyone can confirm? Frick, I'm getting wet just thinking about this game. Buying it the first day it comes out man.

You guys know I used to whine about Quake 2 and 3 sucking for storyline.
(and my complaint was not with the story being bad but people claiming it was actually good for some reason?)
But geez, this game in my opinion fits the Quake universe perfectly, there's no need for a storyline or pretending there is one but they CAN do what Quake 1,2 and 3 did best and that's multiplayer as well as great graphics - I think I might even try this out if there's a demo.
(I prefer a real world setting but I'm just in no way EVER touching BF2)
The shots look amazing, as long as the gameplay is better than just team DM with weapons (like some kind of classes - that kind of thing) would be cool.

This is on my list to buy, for sure. I'm just kind of worried about performance.

The caracters look fantastic, but everything else looks super low res.
MEGATEXTURE'D
Seriously, I trust these guys as long as they are not rushed and as long as it is optimized well.

I'm always amazed 90% of the screenshots we see daily are just dull, even if the game itself looks nice.
