Empire At War Demo Next Week

GameSpot reports that they'll debut a Star Wars: Empire at War demo next week, allowing you to check out five tutorials and one galactic conquest mode map from Petroglyph's real-time strategy game. The game is due in stores next month.

I love it when publishers have the balls to release a demo a full month before the game is out. It's the most powerful statement they can make about a product--to show that they are so confident of it's kickassness that a demo can only help sales.

If this game ends up sucking, I may take a break from Star Wars licensed games for a while. They've really slipped into mediocrity lately. KOTOR looked like it might pull them out, but KOTOR 2 was decidedly average.
