A Source Engine updated is now available upon restarting Steam, with the Steam website noting the update fixes a problem where ATI videocard owners saw overly shiny cube maps.

So do they plan to release graphical updates to the source engine through steam? Like the updated graphics for HL1? so say 3 years from now they release graphic updates to hl2, and its looks like the top of line for 2009?

I had this problem but I own a Geforce 6800GT in my system. Anyone with this type of card try this to see if it was fixed for us as well. That is if you had the problem initially.
