As a fan of the original arcade game, I encouraged a friend of mine who has a 360 and Live to download Robotron: 2084. He later stated that he almost wished he hadn't, since the game was so damn hard that it was killing much of his enjoyment. I can understand that point of view, but for me, the sheer difficulty is exactly what puts it above all the games that were inspired by it (Smash TV, Geometry Wars, etc.). It requires a level of focus and reactive instinct that I've never seen matched in any other game, with the possible exception of Tempest.

Agony is waiting for a 42 MB download going at <2 KB/s. I can't find any other sources, either. :/

Does DOA play the same with better graphics? heh...

Metroid Prime 1? And I thought I was behind on games. I'm about 2/3 of the way through Metroid Prime 2. I have a half finished game of RE4 on hard difficulty. The Krauser battle is a bitch. I was trying to get through it without dying, but it's hard. Finally figured out that the knife attacks do lots of damage to him, so I should be able to get through it when I have time to get back to it. Got a couple of games for xmas on my plate too.

So after hearing a lot of good things about Civ 4 im really thinking of picking it up. Although i've never played a Civ game before. The last turn based strategy game i played was Vandal Hearts for the PSX which was a veeeeery long time ago. Whats it like?

hey guys, just an FYI, rumor has it that supposedly, Best Buy will be getting their next shipment of 360s' in on Tuesday, Jan 3rd. Again, it's rumor.

Im ashamed to say Ive been spending more time playing arcade games than xbox 360 games.

Ive bought Zuma and Geometry wars, both are addictive as hell and really challenge you once you get past the easier stages. My whole family is using the 360 to play Zuma daily. I even managed 124th on one of the live leaderboards :D

Chris: If you want to replay the last portion of Metroid Prime, here's a few hints.

The Wavebuster simply rapes Ridleyo's second form. He doesn't even have to open his mouth. You can kill him in two or three bursts of it.

Metroid Prime's first form has similar weaknesses. The Wavebuster hoses the purple form. You should never even take damage from purple MP. The Ice Spreader freezes the white form completely in its track if you hit with it, and she'll change form immediately after the ice breaks. It's a lot easier to miss this one though, so time the shots so you don't waste all of your missiles.

Yellow form you should use super missiles, and Red is the hardest. The flamethrower is a waste of missiles, so just spam non-charged plasma at it rapid-fire.

Second form is easy. Just back away in circles and jump the groundwave attack.

I'm playing RE4 gc, Metroid Prime, and Animal Crossing DS this weekend too!
No 360 for me yet, but hearing the reactions to DOA4 has finally put it on my "buy when I see one" list.

360 is still not on my "travel 75 miles and camp" list, but by the time the games I want to play (From Software) are out, I'm sure it'll be in stock everywhere.
