Battlefield 2 Patch Q&A

There's a new Battlefield 2 patch Q&A on Total Battlefield 2, asking DICE's Armando Marini a bit more about what they are working on. Questions are about the helicopter missile changes, fixing the damn red name tag bug, content plans, performance enhancements and collision problems.

  • "There is a plan for additional content as we move forward, but patches will not be the means of delivering this new content."

I like Valve more and more after reading this.
Valve releases new content for their games for free in the form of patches (leave any 'steam sux' out of this please), meanwhile DICE releases new content for games we already own in the form of paid "booster packs".

I wonder if this was DICE's decision, or EA's and that EA doesn't want to fund further patches if they wont make any extra money (assuming the publisher is also responsible for the funding of the patches and not just initial game development). Either way, I feel ripped off.

  • They better make the missiles more powerful then or something. Maybe make the reload time in between faster so you'll burn up ammo faster as a trade off.

I love my AH-1 Cobra. I wish they added the ability to eject gunners, I much like having my friend be the gunner cause he's AMAZING as well as some other players I've have the honor of piloting. There are just some gunners out there who can't do crap, the worst ones are the ones who don't even try using the TOW missile and I can keep my helicopter stable and pointat perfectly so he can engage it. IDIOTS!
