Remember true 24-bit? They do like to exaggerate thier specs.
Just a clarification here. The Fatal1ty 1010 does have 3 primary firing buttons.
They are in an array across the top of the mouse. The third button is what I call the "stealth" button. It feels and has the same sensors as the other two buttons but stays with the design of the mouse.
So in all there are 5 buttons on the top of the mouse.
3 main firing buttons / 1 scroll wheel / 1 resolution change button
Hope this clarifies!

Fatality is a kid and a good gamer--I doubt I could even get one shot in. He is making a living out of gaming and that sounds extremely fun. I mean, studying for hours a game and providing your own dedication is not going to be fun, but doing something you love is.
I think it is great business sense for him. Although in a sense he may regret not going to college, but hey he is having a blast right now and chicks even dig him, which is interesting to say from a gamer perspective.
Why not buy or try one of the products? I mean first of all creative is going into this business, which is good for competition--since Logitech needs more anyway. All in all, I would not stick my nose up to it, unless the quality of the product does not adhere to his own standards--and he is a gamer.

I used a logitech mx310 for a while, and it was murder on my hand.
This, like all others, is primarlily a 2-button with a centre wheel button. I don't use mouse wheels for gaming. I use buttons. If that far-right indent is actually a button, then it might qualify as a 3 button + wheel, but it's probably just an indent in the mouse shape.
It also has to do with my controls setup that I need 3 dominant buttons (not 2 plus wheel).
I will have to stick with the old Logitech 3-button once again, but I wonder how much longer this thing is going to hold up (amazing that it lasted this long). The Razor Mamba would have been perfect, but it was never released. Sigh.

Doesn't every mouse ever ever EVER do this simply by not being humongous or adding a pinky shelf?

While I appreciate that there’s some effort, mostly on the part of Logitech and… well basically just Logitech (Razer doesn’t really count until they get their ergonomics under control), it’s going to take a lot to get me to give up my MX1000. All these gaming-specific mice that Logitech puts out don’t have enough buttons. The MX1000 has 8 buttons plus the wheel Up/Down. All these gaming mice have 4-5. If it was up to me to design a mouse, I’d subdivide the LMB and RMB into 2 buttons each like this sucker: http://wacomdirect.wacom.com/wacomdirect/product.asp?dept%5Fid=200&sku=XC400 Actually I’d see if I could fit 3 buttons there.
Personally I thing the weights and on the fly res switching is very gimmicky, I’ve played around with the G series of mice and I don’t see any need for that stuff. I just want a small optical/laser mouse wireless or not that’s just chocked full of buttons.

My bud played on one at a local shootout with Fatal1ty (at Frys). Looks like that pamphlet has lines going to the wrong buttons.

Look at that, they even specifically say that it's designed for people who use their fingertips to control the mouse, YES!!!!!!!!!! YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I have to find out if there's a perfectly placed side button...

i liked the quote:
"Granted, nearly every pointing device available today contains comparable features, but only a handful of pointing devices actually claim to function as gaming mice. In some form or another, products like the Logitech MX518 and Razer Diamondback offer an alternative to the vanilla two-button mouse that has been the staple of offices for over a decade. While both of these mice show noticeable permutations such as a slightly different shape or flashy colors in comparison to their business-oriented brethren, there exists no single feature to date that truly improves your gaming experience. Enter the Fatal1ty 1010. "
What about on the fly mouse sensitivity? That's the primary reason i love my diamondback. Makes a hell of a lot more sense than changing the freakin' sampling rate mid-game
Think I was playing Q2/ra2 at the time with it, sex.
