I really hope the CG won't bother me too much though, as it has some Shackers. I'm kind of finicky that way, but I hated all the scenes with Treebeard and the other trees in Lord of the Rings. It just looked so awfully greenscreen and fake to me. Also on FileShack

I am probably gonna get RE4 for GC. A few question: 1.) Is it like the old REs in which there are 20 zombies or so and you dont have enough ammo to take 'em all down? You only have enough ammo before you hear *click, click* and then you end up running for your life. 2.) Do you accually have time to react, think, reload and other stuff?

First few hours I'd get wasted constantly. I still die, but when I'm in the zone I can walk into a room and not even get touched. Plume of Prometheus + Air Life + Grab in the air + Spear of Poseidon 3x in the air. PS - Grabbing a standard undead soldier and swinging him around (circle, then square) will usually insta-kill any other undead soldiers he touches.
There are some bullshit moments though, like having to fight two Cyclops, take out about 12 explosive archers, then fight 8 mini Cerberus dogs, while being shot at by 6 more archers, but you can't kill them because the dogs can't be allowed to grow full-size...jesus. But every time I get a checkpoint it feels awesome.
Maybe after this I can finally beat the last two challenges in Challenge of the Gods.
...but still total awesomeness!
My Logitech MX700 has been acting up lately (not charging properly in the base). So I called tech support expecting to get an RMA number. They said they'd send a new mouse out ASAP! NEATO!!
The wife calls me at work telling me I have a "big" package. I'm thinking, Oh shit, my W.E. arrived (got a message Monday saying it was on the way). I get home, check the package and think to myself: "what newb puts a packing slip on a W.E. box?"

I also must admit that I have not sent mine out, because when the first shackers started getting theirs the quality of them was far superior to what I had so I have been waiting to add that special something. I have now decided to fuck that idea, my WE can take it and like what I give him!

1. Wikipedia hate - I don't try to use wikipedia as an authoritative encyclopedia. Whenever I read it I put on my "crticial thinking hat", much like do whenever I read something on the internet. Wikipedia is useful to me because of the quantity of information it has, not the accuracy. If I am researching something important I'm not going to rely on Wikipedia.

So I was loading the uhaul truck to move from my tiny apartment to my new house the other day. I had to park Illegally to get the truck even remotely close to my apartment. It was not that bad, I partially blocked a handful of the covered parking slots that people pay an extra $30 a month for, but not enough that they were unable to park and leave. There were not any cars there yet anyways since it was 3:00 in the afternoon, so not a big deal right? After an hour or so I noticed that 1 car successfully parked in one of the blocked spots. awesome... no problems....
So a couple hours later, I am up in the truck putting more boxes in it, and this big italian(why's he got to be italian?) guy approaches and starts yelling at me, "WHAT THE FUCK do you think you are doing? WHO THE FUCK do you think you are? YOu can't park like this and block everyone's parking spot. GET THE *FUCK* out of here... you can't do this. I've been trying to leave for hours. YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE."
At this point I am getting extremely angry as well considering that I've been walking to and from the truck all day, and the retard was obviously able to park his car with my truck there, he shouldn't have a problem leaving. He says he's been honking all day, and he called the apartment complex and complained, etc. yeah... right....
This guy was seriously about to starting swinging at me. I said "why don't you get angry about it?" and asked him to point out a better area to park my uhaul truck, which of course he was unable to do... He just kept cussing at me and making shit up. I told him I would happily move the truck so he could have an easier time getting out, but I was going to park there again after that.. and he said something like "You better fucking not, I'll be back later".
So I moved the truck and he left, and I finished loading and moved my shit. The End.
So anyways... WTF? This guy has some extreme anger issues. I bet he's the same guy I can hear through my wall that was CONSTANTLY yelling at his girlfriend/wife, while she cries. If I was an asshole I would go back and take a dump on his hood or something.

i have a set of z680's (freakin SWEET speakers) and the front right channel doesn't work.
i have tested it, and its the speakers for sure. whats the number to call to get that stuff taken care of - just the normal customer support?

I've been a shacker for a few years now, but this is the first W.E. I've ever participated in (even outside of the shack). Part of the reason I decided to participate is because of how easy some people made it. I'm not completely familiar with all the people behind these scenes (hopefully I dont leave anyone out), but I wanted to show appreciation for cpt_gloval, thomw, and Shacknews.com for everything they did to make this possible! These guys obviously arnt making any money off of this and devoted the time to this project because they care and the shack community. If you notice at the website....there is no "Who put this together?" page. Just a simple "© 2005 cpt_gloval and thomw" and a disclaimer from cpt_gloval promising not to stalk us. I just think thats awesome and this is the time of year to love each other and show appreciation -SO LETS DO IT!
So, fellow shackers! Get behind me and sign this thread with a big THANK YOU! and let these guys know how much we appreciate all their efforts.
