I found out that I enjoy rhythm games more than I ever suspected I would. This week I picked up Guitar Hero (PS2), which is fantastic. Then, at a weekend-long Shackmeet (which is where I'm posting this) I played Donkey Konga (GCN) for the first time, and that's a whole ton of fun as well (especially with three or four people). Go figure.

While I'm really enjoying Guitar Hero, unlocking the behind the scenes video really shows how amateur of a project it really is. It was almost embarassing to watch and made me want to stop playing for a few days.

But I'm amazed how much the game rocks. I really hope it does well and makes a sequel with a shitload of songs.

I'll definately have to pick up FFIV since I never quite finished it on the SNES (rented it and almost got to the end after having it out for a loooong while (like a week or so) and then took it back thinking I'd finish it later...and then when I rented it again my save game was gone (no big surprise there really)). Great game...anybody know when the 3d FF3 remake on the DS is supposed to be out?

Ok, so I've decided to keep my other 360 and not ebay it since prices are falling (bahhhh) and I have a question. Games... I really didn't want to keep one cause there just wasn't anything that caught my attention.

But I guess I'll give in and try a game or two. I'm not interested in PD0, at all, and I've heard a lot of bad things about it despite the good reviews. Not a big fan of Kameo too. I was thinking Condemned and was wondering if anyone had any experience with it? Anything to do online with Condemned?

And, maybe some other game. A game I could sit home and play with my two brothers since I'll be home for the holidays. Nothing sports-like which I know cuts the game library in half (I have a lot of them already on my ps2 and xbox).

Frankly, I am amazed you are awake. When Fayk and I left, it was 3:30 or 4:00 already, and happynoodle was just awaking from his 10-hour rejuvenating slumber. Who would have thought drunk naked swimming could be so exhausting?

Those that care... a buddy of mine got a 360 and we tried GR2 and GR2:SS and here are the results below. No visual upgrades noticed (FSAA).

GR2
-Scope zoom in has some serious issues..but you could still see ok
-Some screen artifacts at the edges (doens't affect gameplay)
-Split-screen Live is playable
-Live is playable

GR2:SS
-(scope zoom issue not happening here)
-Some screen artifacts at the edges (doens't affect gameplay)
-Cannot play Split-Screen at all. Completely black.
-Live is playable

Twin Thrones? Isn't it Two Thrones? And wasn't this game released last week?

I thought there would be more big name games being released in the time frame before x-mas. For me there won't be any game worth checking out before Oblivion. Sad stuff really...
