This really seems like a great time to be owning a DS, as cool games seem to be coming out every week now. Really was hoping it would get here today, but alas, it did not. Also, a trailer from Uwe Boll's next trainwreck, Dungeon Siege, is now available. So bad..so bad. Thanks Kolzig73. Also on FileShack

BF2 was the worst buy for me of any multiplayer fps game. I played it for a total of 6.5 hours.
By comparison,
I probably spent
3000+ hours in Quake (CTF, TF, DM)
1000+ hours in Quake 2
2000+ hours in Half-Life 2 (Counter-strike, Dod, and a couple other mods I
forget)
200 hours in Soldier of Fortune 2
200 hours in Battlefield 1942
300 hours in Tribes
1200 hours in Tribes 2

So, on the shacks recommendation I picked up Resident Evil 4. I have gotten as far as to the town Pueblo or Poebla or Poobla or something and I keep getting my ass kicked. I tried everything from holing up in a building, using chokepoints in alleys, running around looking for an exit instead of fighting, using harsh language instead of the default gun but no respite from being slaughtered.
Problem I keep running into is that I shoot a bad guy, run past the remaining ones, do the 180 turn, shoot another bad guy and eventually I run out of room or they catch me and eat my face. Am I supposed to kill every undead soul in this village? Help me, I am dead again.

I've had Chipotle's before and normally get their mild sauce and haven't had any problems. This time I ordered the mild sauce + corn stuff. Now my mouth is burning and it won't stop. Ugh. Maybe I just can't handle spicy foods. Is this something where if you're not raised on it then you can't handle it? Or maybe the corn stuff is just really really spicy, then I won't feel so bad.

It's nothing special. A few decent e-brake turns, some road block dodging, and a few close busts. This was basically my first real attempt at recording in-game footage and then editing a bit, compressing, and pimping posting. Best action is around 9:30 and on. Nothing spectacular, but a step in the right direction.

And it looks bad. But - it'll be Boll's best movie. It's miscast, but the cast can mostly act. It'll have terrible writing, but the effects budget looks halfway decent.

See, one thing about the world is that everyone at the core really loves one another, a lot. It's just never at the same time. We're like a bunch of clocks with different times on them. Few of us are lined up exactly at the same time, or even close. Somewhere a long the line, our clocks got thrown way the fuck off, and we had nothing to do with one another.
This question gets asked every year at Quakecon. How is it that you can recognize a shacker from a mile away? Wanna know the reason why? Because (for some of us, not all) our interactions here put us on the same clock. And it's like, WHAO, I don't know how I know you are. But I do.

I was asking around if anyone had BiA: Road to Hill 30 and they told me no. Finally I get to Gamestop and they say no, bc its been recalled, bc of some racist remark in the game. I say, "Like what calling the Germans diffent slangs?" He told me no calling some of your own teamate the "N" word. I said to him, "Are they going to patch it and pull that name out?" He said, "No, its probable never going to see the light of day again." Then I went to EBGames and I asked the manager if they had a copy of it. He said that they sold the last 2. Then I asked if they had BiA: Road to Hill 30 for XBox and he said yes. So, now I dont know who to belive. Does anyone know if this is true? Seeing that I have NEVER played it before.

I have two fast questions. 1.) Does the headset that comes /w the Premium package be used with the PC too or just the 360? 2.) Will the smaller remote be able to access XBox 360 Live, DVDs and turn the 360 on and off and start up games? Whats the big difference between the 2? I dont have my 360 yet, bc lame EBGames only got 20 360 in Monday and wont receive the 2nd shipment in till next week.

Pretty nice game overall, I have some quibbles with it, but really, I knew what I was getting into when I started playing, so I can't complain about nostalgic (aka, musty, dusty, rusty) gameplay and conventions too much. Very high quality production wise, just impeccable in terms of world construction and presentation.
Too bad the changes for the NA version were all things I didn't like :( The symphonic soundtrack did *nothing* for me, I mean *nothing*. Not the least bit of emotion in that bleached 'epic' score. The voice acting on the other hand, was superb. There was literally only one voice I didn't like (quality wise) in the whole game, and it was at the very end. Plus there were some really great ones. Unfortunately that + the menu changes + the symphonic soundtrack added a bit of load time :( Nothing major, but when you're going through a 70+ hour game, every little bit hurts. If you can HDload this puppy, you're in for a treat (I wish I owned one).
Oh, and I thought this little tidbit was 'cute' - they made the super tension for the hero in the NA version look like a DBZ character deliberately to appeal to the huge DBZ fanbase over here... and it worked. I keep seeing people asking about the ZOMG DRAGONBALL crap in the game. wtf?! Bleh
Anyhow. Check it out if you want a monster rpg that doesn't make any attempts whatsoever to be anything other than Dragon Quest... with an 8 next to the name.

It's got several new stuff in there.
Night vision.
Zip lines. Throw it from one building to another, and your teammates can rapel down to the other building.
Grappling lines. Throw it from the ground to a rooftop, and your teammates can climb UP to the top of the building.
Gas Masks. And there's also a gas grenade you can throw, might also be a flash-grenade of sorts.
New vehicles, like the three-wheel cycle and a mini-truck with the front glass broken. Those two aren't the only new vehicles in this expansion pack.
New maps, like Devil's perch and Ghost town. I think there's like eight new maps or something like that.
There's also a grenade you can throw that can temporarily blind everybody in a small area. Not sure what they're called, flashbang grenades, maybe?
Takes getting a bit used to, though. But there's definitely a lot of new stuff here. And there's none of that JET-RAPE that we all hate.
I would think shackers would be quite happy with getting rid of JET-RAPE!

Ok i'm having a problem right now on my computer where I tried to "upgrade" my XP installation to MCE just to mess with it before I backed up my files and did a nuke + re-install. Anyways suffice to say it didn't work, it asks for my nForce4 drivers disk which I didn't have but then I used my laptop and extracted the .exe from nvidia.com and burned it to a CD. It finds the files but during the installaion of nvata.sys the system reboots. I have some files on my C drive that I want to backup before simply re-install windows with a format.
So I run the Recovery Console after booting from my CD but it says access denied when I try to change folders to say program files or desktop. According to http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;314058 you only have access to the root folder of windows in recovery console.
The drives are NTFS formatted. It's actually one physical drive partitioned as C & D and I just want to copy files from the C drive to the D drive before I nuke and re-install.
Right now I don't have 6 floppy disks available so I can't try http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=310994 but if no one can think of anything else i'll go buy the disks but i'm not 100% sure this would work.

I stood in line for 4 hours this morning and am now a grateful owner of the gateway laptop they had on ad. Of course though, battery life isn't great and as I sit here in barnes and noble I wonder if there exists some sort of power management program that will throttle the CPU and allow me to adjust screen contrast and brightness and such... any such program exist out there that you recommend?!

Is there a God mode cheat in single player so I can just finish this damned game and continue with Halo 2 by tomorrow or am I gonna have to choke a bitch? Googling seems to indicate there is none but the only results I found were from the uncleansed masses on non-shack sites. Guide me my collective babies. :(
p.s., The Library is the most boring, tedious, stupid series of levels in the existence of video games. Seriously, just ship the game with 20 hours of single player gameplay rather than pulling that copy and paste shit. >:|

Best part is PGR3 has the gameplay I loved from PGR2 so i'm totally happy right now. We need to do some of the gametypes like 4v4 with 8 shackers.
now the bad news...I think PD0 artwork is absolute crap. Reminds me of the Quake2/Unreal days where colored lighting was overused just for the sake of using it.
oh and after I finished my race the news ticker on the bottom displayed Dan 101 got his first platinum medal which I thought was awesome. 2 days ago I also saw edgewise earn an achievment badge.
