On another note, is there a way to play co-op like in Starcraft where two players could run the same civ? We tried selecting the same team and civ hoping that would work, but we still ended up as separate factions.
Due to the problems we've been having the plan so far has been to stick with single player and just talk trash about each other's progress so I guess it isn't all bad.

* Yes I would love to install another piece of software. Nevermind the fact that you have GameSpy built into the game.
* No, I don't want to play online with my friends. I don't have any friends. I hate people. I think I'll go and kill everyone. Hail Satan.
Actually XFire doesn't sound like a horrible idea but it is kinda odd given that GameSpy is built in and all. I just hate it when it's either "Yes I'll install it" or "No, I don't want to play online" and they phrase it like that.
