Uwe Boll Reveals His Secrets

Filmmaker Uwe Boll, responsible for an inexplicably high number of past and upcoming films adapted from video games, recently attended a screening of his latest cinematic venture BloodRayne, which somehow features such appreciated thespians as Ben Kingsley and Michael Madsen (and Meat Loaf). In a meeting that is pretty high up there on the Crazy Internet Movie People meter, Boll chatted it up a bit with Ain't it Cool News writer Harry Knowles, who revealed some of his tricks and experience in making his films. Here are a couple choice bits of wisdom from Dr. Boll: - "They were better than actors. We looked for local Romanian actresses, but there they are all from the theater and act very broadly. For 150 euros a piece the whores would be naked and do as they were told. It was better." - Make every attempt to secure actors at the last possible minute to snag big names who happen to have holes in their schedules. BloodRayne wasn't even cast until two weeks before shooting. When confronted about the heated "discussion" that frequently erupts on the internet, Boll apparently said, "Please stop, please," then followed up with, "Yes, it is fun to make fun of the German, because I Nazi and make movies with that Nazi Money." Indeed, Dr. Boll, indeed.
