by Maarten Goldstein, Nov 18, 2005 7:39am PSTThere is a lengthy post on the Seriously! forums by a 2K Games marketing manager, addressing several Serious Sam 2 issues raised by the community. The post covers the lack of a DVD release, the cartoony look, the first demo and overall marketing and Linux support among other things.

Honestly, i hope the game absolutely bombed on the consoles..The only way the Croteam will regain power over their content will be if the Marketing asses were proven wrong.

The hacked down size to make it fit on the Xbox, the remnants of the Xbox version on the PC side, the first fucking patch breaking the cdrom detection for me, the shitty net code, a host of stupid bugs, and their utterly, utterly pathetic 'tech support'.
Was fun with several friends, but not so much more fun than SS1/SE that it was worth the retardation.

Turns out that the first demo was from a later level. I wonder why they chose that level, the rest of the game had levels and number of enemies more like the old Serious Sam. Oh well, Croteam really shot themselves in the foot with that one, as the internet buzz wasn't very good after the first demo.
I did run into a couple of bugs where a door wouldn't open even after I killed everything, had to reload the level and redo to get the door to open. I think it happened twice.
