Darwinia Coming To Steam

The Darwinina website has the announcement that this indie built multi-genre game is heading to Steam. The game will be available on Valve's content delivery system December 14, at a price of $19.95.

I have to say it, but...
You know this game has a Linux version? So why not use their Linux steam to sell the Linux verion, too? It would be really neat for gamers to be able to take the steam copy over to Linux if they bought it in windows on steam this way as well.

It makes me wonder...

how much time is wasted at valve by playing through these games before agreeing to host the content on steam? I mean if i were them, i'd thoroughly play through the game before taking a chance on it. Those hours could probably be better spent making more maps for DoD... getting the friends list to work... getting aftermath out... :p

The rate at which steam is growing, more time will be spent playing games than developing them

You've been able to buy this online all the time. You both get a couple of downloads of it as well as they ship you it to you on CD.

I bought a boxed copy, and while I haven't gotten around to playing it yet, I'm glad I did. The manual's actually quite cool. I hope they offer it in PDF format for people who buy it over steam.

I beat this game, and I have to tell you it absolutely awesome.

Definately buy it through steam.

The thing unfortunately lacking from it is multiplayer but it doesn't really hurt the game because the single player is so innovative and fun.
