just a voice out of tune: this is just the same old shit, good loooking, but the same warmed soup of shit where one got to mayhem 10 Billions and counting bad asses, maybe of 3 or 4 shapes if we are lucky, and stop. What a fun!
I think that until Gothic 3 issue (maybe King Kong) you won't see anything worthy to oust 50 dolla for a REAL adventure with some decent and funny melee combat.

Guys, I gotta say -- this game looks f'ing incredible. I watched the video a few times and the attention to small details could make this GOTY candidate if they:

1. Don't delay this release a billion times (a la Stalker) such that it's graphical appeal is *yawn* boring when it comes out, and

2. Don't script the fcuk out of the experience making it the antithesis of Morrowind.

Hot damn this thing is pimp.

Even though the first person perspective is tiring these days, this game looks a lot more interesting than anything else I've seen recently. The monsters and the environments look really great. Could be a really fun game of all of the other pieces fit in well.

We don't know enough about either one of them yet, but I'm anxious as to how know this compares to Project Offset.

Proj:O looks a lot better to me, and it seems to be more of a smooth action game. However, M&M is an established RPG franchise and might have more depth to it.

I can't decide which game I'm looking forward to more, this or Elder Scrolls IV. Of course there's no rule saying I can't like them both, but they're obviously similar so comparisons will be inevitable.

I'm worried that ES:IV will be kind of directionless like Morrowind was (at least for me) but from reading the interviews it soulds like they've incorporated a lot of feedback from Morrowind into Oblivion.

Both games look really good though and I'll most likely be getting both.

I have to agree with every comment posted here. Source-physic'd orc heads, Arx Fatalis2, Arx Fatalis underappreciated. They're all true. This game looks awesome, better than we could hope for in a Hexen or Heretic remake. The animation and collision detection seem particularly sweet, and the action's mix of combat and magic should make the battles unique and memorable.

Hot for teacher, yes?

i think this looks superb so far...something about really crisp bump mapping really makes games "pop" for me, hehe...it's odd though, the bump mapping in games that i KNOW utilize it is hard to make out during gameply but looks fine in screenies...maybe I'm just not running high enough rez/quality to see it well, I dunno
if this game can capture even 1/4 of the fun of, say, Might & Magic 6 or 7, I'm all over it...those were, for me probably some of the best games ever...so epic...this probably will be a very different bird...
